Accessibility

The following should be considered when planning events:

  • The event ought to be accessible

  • Consider religious observances that fall in or around the date of the planned event

  • Events should be inclusive and respectful to the diverse identities at Windsor Law, including (but not limited to): cultural identity, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.

Description: consider ramps, elevators, stairs, stoops, washroom accessibility, etc. Remember accessible means not only physical access, but also accessibility for those with visual and hearing impairments. For more information see the Accessibility Policy of the University of Windsor, and be sure to consider the ‘Planning Accessible Events Checklist’ that the law school requires to be completed for each event.

If you or your club requires further resources on any of the above, please contact the Vice President, Equity & Diversity or the Disability Student Law Society of Windsor (DSLSW).
